General Description

Location

This rotation site is shared between two establishments, the Cowanville Medical Clinic and the CLSC Farnham. Both Cowansville and Farnham are located in the Eastern Townships, about 90 km east of Montreal. The teaching site is located on the territory of the Centre int茅gr茅 universitaire de sant茅 et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de l鈥橢strie.

Capacity

• 1听trainee per period, 1 resident or 1 student (Family Medicine)
• 2 or 3 trainees per period (Internal Medicine)

Length of Rotation

• 1 or 2 months

Lodging

Type of Lodging

Lodging is provided by the establishment and is located at a short walking distance from the clinic.

Trainees are lodged in a听"Shared Apartment". Trainees have a private room and share common gender-neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).


Lodging can be available the evening before the first day of the rotation.

Trainees are expected at the Clinic at 8:30 am on the first day of their rotation.

Accommodation Commodities

All accommodations are non-smoking environments.

Transportation

A car is mandatory for this rotation.

Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.

Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.

Traveling by Car

To Cowansville

Eastern Township Autoroute #10, take exit 74, then turn left on Pierre Laporte Blvd. and continue until you reach Principale street. The hospital will be directly across. The hospital is where you will get the keys to the apartment.

To get to the Cowansville Medical clinic from hospital,听turn right on Principale street till you reach Albert St. Turn right on Albert, the clinic is located a little further right, on your left, below the Uniprix Pharmacy.

To Farnham from Cowansville

Head southeast on Rue Albert toward Rue Principal. Continue onto Rue du Sud. Turn right onto Rue de la Rivi猫re. Continue onto QC-104 O. Turn right onto Rue Principale E.听 At the light, turn right to cross the bridge onto rue Saint-Paul, QC/235 N. 听Destination will be on the left. The CLSC De Farnham, 660 Rue Saint Paul, Farnham, QC J2N 3B9.
