Comparing Immigration Policies: Canada and the World

Join us for the 2022 MISC Annual Conference, happening in Montreal at the Sofitel Hotel on October 27 and 28, 2022.

Immigration has long been a key aspect of Canadian economic and social life. This is why thinking about immigration policy in a changing world remains a priority. This conference will look at immigration policy in Canada from a comparative perspective. Focusing primarily on economic immigration and discussing the situation at the federal level and in Quebec before turning to Europe and the United States, the conference features keynote addresses and roundtables that address broad themes in immigration policy relevant to informed citizens, community leaders, journalists, policymakers, researchers, and students.
