The听re-imagined 20th Thinking Qualitatively Virtual Conference (TQ).

The University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO), in agreement with the International听Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM), is听pleased to present the re-imagined 20th听Thinking Qualitatively听Virtual听Conference (TQ). TQ will听be held worldwide听July 5-9, 2021.

CQ@10 鈥 Revisiting & Reimagining the 鈥楥ritical鈥 in Critical Qualitative Health Research.

The Centre for Critical Qualitative Health Research (CQ) at the University of Toronto is celebrating its 10th听anniversary by hosting听a stimulating online Symposium taking place over three days in November and December, 2020 with an enticing line-up of keynote and panel speakers from the CQ fold and beyond. .

Beyond Giving Voice- Advancing theory and methodologies for qualitative research with children.

This event will be hosted by Western University as a free series of听virtual听interactive symposium webinars on June 4th, 9th, and 11th 2020 from 3-5pm. The symposium will explore theoretical, methodological, and ethical implications of claims to be 'giving voice' to children through research.听While presentations will be focused on qualitative research with young people, the knowledge shared will be equally relevant to the design and conduct of methodologies with other populations. 1. Introduction to Qualitative Research and/or听Qualitative Health Research with Children & Youth

Monday June 29- Friday Jul 3, 2020 | 不良研究所, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Come and be a听part of the Summer Institute in Innovative Methodologies!听You听will discover the world of qualitative health research by learning about its foundations and engaging in stimulating, interactive fieldwork. Please see below for a basic outline of the course

Qualitative Research: Introduction

Learn about basic qualitative theory and history.

Encounter the possible approaches/methodologies available.

Develop an awareness of the ethical issues involved in qualitative research
(including how these influence design, access, roles and reflection about research).

Qualitative Research: Data Collection

Learn about qualitative data collection.

Engage in a variety of qualitative research methods through daily practicum/fieldwork exercises.

Reflect on the experience of data collection through discussion/debriefing.

Qualitative Research: Analysis and Interpretation

Learn common analytical strategies (e.g., coding).

Learn how to design and organize qualitative research findings.

Learn how to analyze and interpret qualitative research using data provided.

Learn how to present findings and describe the analytic process.

2. Qualitative Health Research with Children & Youth

The 5-day Summer Institute in Qualitative Health Research with Children & Youth听will enable participants to develop research projects that can examine complex health problems affecting children and youth. Coached by an experienced team of childhood researchers, participants will have several opportunities to develop knowledge and skills for conducting qualitative health research with children and youth.
