Academic standing
Your academic standing reflects your progress in your program and is determined at the end of each term based on your grades and University and Faculty Academic Standing policies (published in the eCalendar). It is important to understand how academic standing is assessed and what it means for your studies.听
When you first start your program, you are considered to be in Satisfactory Standing. At the end of each term (or once all final grades are submitted), your academic standing is reviewed based on your results. If your CGPA/TGPA remain above the required minimums, you will continue in Satisfactory Standing.听
What happens if your grades fall below minimum requirements?听
If your CGPA/TGPA falls below the required threshold, you may be placed in a different academic standing category, such as Probationary, Interim Probationary, Unsatisfactory or Interim Unsatisfactory. It is critical that you inform yourself of the implications of being placed in a different standing as you may be required to reduce your courseload or apply for readmission to continue your studies.
Stay informed and seek support
If you are concerned about your academic standing, it鈥檚 important to speak with an academic advisor early. Support and resources are available to help you stay on track.
