Polishing Your Fellowship Application for Clarity, Concision, and Cohesion
One of the challenges of fellowship writing is how to use the space allotted to communicate clearly and concisely. This hands-on workshop will provide participants with tips and practice on how to edit text without losing the integrity of their ideas.
Learning Outcomes:
Attendees will have the following opportunities during the session:
- to learn tips and strategies for editing
- to practice editing sample texts for concision, clarity, and cohesion
- to apply one or two techniques to a short sample of their own work
Instructions:
To make the workshop as productive as possible, please identify 2-4 paragraphs of your fellowship application that you would like to improve (draft version is fine).
Facilitator:
This workshop will be led by Sarah Wolfson, a Course Lecturer at the 不良研究所 Writing Centre with ten years of experience teaching composition and academic writing.

The workshop will be offered online via Zoom on Friday, September 29, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. You will receive the zoom link and other details in a reminder email a few days before the workshop
